Scrub Love - Mint Temptation Coffee Scrub

Today I’m back with a review of Scrub Love’s coffee body scrub. 

I was super excited to receive the coffee scrub after hearing so much hype on social media about them - I love exfoliators but always forget to use them!! 

I received the Mint Temptation scented scrub which smells absolutely incredible – I love mint and coffee and this smells almost like mint choc chip ice cream, yummy. Other scents available Original Lovin’ and Coconut Affair, mmm!

Scrub Love products are 100% natural, organic and fairtrade and they use coffee that is ethically sourced and Rainforest-Alliance Approved so you can scrub with a clear conscience.

Mint Temptation features the following ingredients; roast organic coffee, peppermint oil, tea tree oil, dead sea salt, argan oil and aloe vera – all fantastic ingredients on their own with wonderful healing properties.

The coffee scrub promises to banish blemishes, target acne, stretch marks and cellulite – what a wonder product!

Benefits of coffee scrubs are that the ground coffee buffs away dead skin cells while protecting the new skin underneath. The high caffeine content stimulates circulation and this in turn can promote healing in problem areas.

I absolutely love this scrub – I left the scrub on my face for several minutes and felt a nice warm tingling underneath. My skin felt silky and smooth afterwards and well moisturised! I will definitely be adding this to my usual shower routine and using the coffee scrub several times a week :)

I would advise scrubbing up a storm in the tub or shower as the coffee grounds get everywhere, but the results are worth it.

Caslon & Co Kitchen Linen: Victorian Flourish Oven Mitt

Caslon & Co Victorian Flourish Oven Mitt Sky Blue - £24.00

I was recently invited to try out some of the gorgeous kitchen linen by Caslon & Co and opted for this lovely sky blue oven mitt. As you may have noticed from my blog layout I love white, turquoises and greys and am slowly sneaking the colour scheme into the kitchen so when I spotted this design I knew I had to have it!

The oven mitt is heavy duty and well made - when I first tried it out I noticed how much thicker it is compared to my usual oven gloves and that it is lined with a plasticy fabric. I feel this will be a great benefit as sometimes my oven gloves get wet while i'm cooking as I constantly wash my hands and I cant hold baking trays and roasting tins for long but with the lining I think this will prevent it from happening in future. Another plus to the Victorian Flourish Oven Mitt is that it is completely machine washable - win!

I just love the vintage, shabby chic pattern and am so happy there is a matching apron and tea towel to complete the set which I've added to my Christmas List ;)

Disney Wonder Linen Spray

Wonder by Disney is a fruity sweet subtle scent designed for a baby's nursery and bedroom linens.

I am absolutely in love with this spray and spray it several times a day all over my house - I have even sprayed it on myself as a body spray, it is that delicious!

The scent is a wonderfully sweet scent - like marshmallows or candyfloss with a hint of apples and adds a lovely comforting smell to your room and linens.

The bottle is nothing less than a masterpiece! Its chunky, simple and well made . The bottle is clear with only the logo and Disney picture (Bambi and Thumper!!!!) on the front with a shiny gold cap.

Wonder Linen Spray also comes in a gorgeous cream and gold sturdy gift box which is unbelievably cute and I cant bear to throw out!

You get 125ml of spray per bottle for £8 which I think is very reasonable especially as it seems to last forever! I've had mine for 2 months now and still have over two thirds left.

The only downside I have found is that the smell isn't long lasting but I have just seen that they have added a candle with the same scent to the collection and this may be better to use along side the linen spray as a room fragrance. Cant wait to try it!! :)

Scarlett Fashion - Sugarhill Sorbet Sweater

I love spring! It’s my most favourite season. I love the colours – lemon, mint green, whites! I like that it’s just warm enough to go out without a coat! I love lambing weekend and seeing baby chicks! And Easter Eggs!

And I absolutely adore this jumper from Scarlett Fashion! It's by Sugarhill and it’s the perfect transitional piece to go from these chilly winter days that are lingering to sunny spring ones!

Lets get back to the jumper! ...

The jumper itself is a lovely soft, fine knit and has beautiful flecks of colour throughout the pinky peach and baby blue yarn. I love the cute cream heart on the front too!

I ordered a Medium which I would say is roughly a size 8-10. This is the ideal length to wear with leggings or jeans and I’m so looking forward to wearing this when the weather warms up with coloured skinnies!

I live and die in jumpers and leggings at the moment and this has really brightened up my wardrobe from the usual blacks and greys I tend to turn to! I can see this lasting me throughout Spring/Summer as a go to item when I want to lounge around or throw something over a vest or tee when there's a chill in the air.

Lee Stafford - ArganOil Deep Nourishing Treatment

Quick review today of Lee Stafford's ArganOil Deep Nourishing Treatment. Recently my hair has turned extremely dry and frizzy in places so in a mad panic on night i splurged on the Boots website and treated myself to a whole bunch of treatments and conditioners to try and bring it back to life.

One of these products was Lee Stafford's ArganOil Deep Nourishing Treatment - a little expensive at £14.99 for a 200ml pot but luxurious and nourishing none-the-less.

This treatment was a thick white conditioner, you needed to use an 'egg sized' scoop and massage through from roots to ends. I found i only got 5 uses out of a 200ml pot which works out at an equivalent to £3 a use!

ArganOil Deep Nourishing Treatment is non-greasy and leaves your hair feeling soft and moisturised. I must admit that i didn't really notice that this product did anything special to my hair until the last use when i used about a dollop and a half to use up the pot - after i had dried and styled my hair it felt extremely soft and silky. Up until this point i hadn't been overly thrilled and i don't think i will be repurchasing. I cant really justify £15 on a conditioner that isn't a wonder product and that i only get 4-5 uses out of a tub.

I do love Lee Stafford's product (the Hair Growth products are fab!) but on this occasion they haven't worked for me.

Lush Butterball ...

Lush Butterball Bath Bomb

Two nights ago, with the boyfriend at the pub i run myself a steaming hot bath, lit some new winter scented candles and let off a Butterball bath bomb into the bath. It was the most delightful bath EVER!!

Butterball has a heavenly vanilla scent, and silky soft moisturising cocoa butter chunks infused within it.

Mine fizzed and dissolved quickly but didn't leave any bubbles. I wondered if this is because i had this bath bomb for about 6 months or more but forgot about it during busy times and moving, etc. This is the second Butterball I've used and cant remember whether the first one let off any bubbles either - anyone know?

The scent is long lasting which i love and my skin feels thoroughly replenished after use. One note, it does leave a greasy residue around the bath afterwards so best to give the bath a quick wipe over when you get out.

I absolutely adore this product, i think this is actually my favourite Lush product! It is also a steal at just £2.45 :)

Maggie Angus Jewellery ...

At the recent #ldnxmasbloggermeet i was very lucky enough to meet Anna from Maggie Angus.

Anna was extremely inspiring and made so many interesting points throughout the day, I'm so glad i got to meet her :) We were all given one of her adorable Fox Head rings to take home (as seen on Little Mix, dontcha know!).

I had previously heard of the Maggie Angus jewellery range after following Emma (who hosted the event) on Twitter as she works for Maggie Angus, super cool eh!?

I was casually browsing the website the other night when i came across the gorgeous Rock Star necklace - i knew immediately i had to have it and promptly placed an order as a little Christmas gift to myself :)

Its featured on a charcoal grey chain and the guitar and star charms hang at different lengths (something i particularly like as they don't bash against each other and jangle when I'm walking along!)

Purple is the New Black ...

I am fully embracing my gothic side with this lipstick.

I wasn't sure about it at first as it seemed really dark but i think its because i tried it on after a long day at work (and late night shopping!) and nearly all of my makeup had worn off and i looked tired and pale.

Here we have 17's Lasting Fix lipstick in New Black. New Black is a deep, dark purple colour - I've been after a purple colour for winter for a few weeks now and literally spent an age in Boots looking at every purple they had ... as i paid at the counter my whole had was covered in swatches!

The packaging is sweet and sleek - smooth black casing with a dusky pink shiny metal tube. The tubing twists up to reveal the bullet and the casing is durable. Its been squishing around in my makeup for the last two weeks and not even a mark on it :)

Lasting Fix lipstick is fairly moisturising but as with all lip products i apply a small slick of lip balm before application to ensure a smooth finish. I find i can wear this colour best with a coat of clear lipgloss over it as the colour can be a bit uneven. It also takes a very steady hand to apply this colour, the slightest wobble and it shows up! You may benefit from a lip liner first ...

All in all this lipstick has really grown on me and is great to add a pop of colour to a neutral face during the winter months.

Rimmel Vinyl Gloss Lipgloss *Review*

Another lip product review!

Hope you're not getting too bored of these - i have an awful lot of lip glosses/sticks/stains at the moment. Such an easy way to brighten up a Face of the Day especially as i don't have time to do fancy eye makeup every day :( *big sad face*

I've had this Rimmel Vinyl Gloss lipgloss for absolutely agesssss (around a year i believe) and was sent/won it through the Rimmel website when they every so often have the little comps to win the latest product.

I was sent the Lovesick shade which is a rich raspberry red colour.

When i first saw the colour i had been sent i was a bit disappointed as it looked rather dark in the tube and back then i stuck solely to light pinks (since starting my blog i have realised that darker pinks/reds suit me much better). My disappointment soon faded once i tried it out as it's fairly sheer and leaves a nice hint of colour on my lips. As I've mentioned before i have fairly pigmented lips and this is definitely a 'my lips but better' colour on me.

I'm not overly keen on the packaging - i love the sleek black packaging a lot of brands are opting for, and to be honest I'm not a fan of any of Rimmel's packaging (I think it may be the silvery font on this particular product).

Saying that the tube is extremely sturdy and made of a thick clear plastic which shows off the colouring of the product. The wand is also very sturdy and has a doe foot shaped wand. Also the tube is fairly large and you get a decent amount of product for you money - plus!
 

Vinyl Gloss lipgloss has a gorgeous sweet smell almost like bubblegum and isn't sticky or tacky in the slightest. Lovesick is fairly sheer so a few swipes of the wand is required before colour shows through. When you look at the colour through the tube it shows gold shimmer but this does not transfer onto the lips which is nice.

Lasting power is around a couple of hours which is quite good going. This is another product i always have in my handbag as its so easy to apply while on the go - no mirror or steady hands required!

Rimmel's Vinyl Gloss lipgloss comes in 16 shade and retails at £4.99.

I would totally repurchase this item and tempted by a couple of other shades in the collection :)
