FOTD ... MAC Smokey Eyes

A couple of weekends ago i went to see The Blackout and got to use my new MAC eyeshadows for the first time :)

I picked up 3 MAC eye shadows recently in Amy's blogsale - Beauty Marked, Plumage and Carbon. I was so happy when i saw these pop up in Amy's blog sale as literally the day before i had decided i was going to add Plumage and Carbon to my Christmas List! Talk about great timing :) :)

Anyways ....

Foundation: Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid in Ivory

Blush: MAC Sheertone Powder in Pink Swoon

Eyeshadows: MAC Beauty Marked, MAC Carbon, FashionistA Baked eyeshadow in Double Take

Mascara: MaxFactor's False Lash Effect in Black

Lips: Rimmel Vinyl Gloss lipgloss in Lovesick

A little more toned down compared to the last Smokey Eye look i did, more of a charcoal/silvery smokey eye.

Anyone got any smokey eye tutorials? Or smokey eye FOTD's using colours? I'd love to see :)

FOTD ... Dramatic Black Smokey Eyes

Yesterday morning i was browsing through some YouTube tutorials while the bf was peacefully sound a sleep avoiding taking me shopping and i decided to recreate one of the looks that night for a friends gig.

As I've been feeling a bit miserable of late i was fully embracing my emo/'goffik' side with this dramatic smokey eye ...

 

I used:

17 Eyeshadow - Darkness

FashionistA Baked Eyeshadow - Double Take

Eylure Pre-Glued False Eyelashes - 116

I love using this FashionistA eyeshadow as a highlighter for my eyes - used it pretty much everyday since i was very kindly given it at the TOWIB event (will be featuring it in more detail in a post soon).

I also love 17 eyeshadows - I've got quite a collection now. The one thing i wasn't too keen on was the fallout from this product but that may have been more noticeable because of how dark the shadow is or because i was quite heavy handed when applying it on the brush.

In hindsight i think next time i wear this look I'll blend a bit more, add a liquid or gel eyeliner to my upper lashline and wear a more pale shade on my lips so as not to distract from the eyes.

Hey guys,

Hectic week this week - very exhausting! At last the weekend is upon us :)

Exciting plans this weekend - Who's going to TOWIB tomorrow? Hit me up yeah so we can hang out! Eeeee :)

Thought I'd share a quick FOTD that i put together recently (as seen in this post) ...

It was probably a bit fancy for a day in the office but i was feeling experimental that morning and had a spare 10 minutes before having to leave the house, so why not, eh!?

Ahaha What You Laughing At? ... FOTD

Virtual *high-five* to whoever guesses what song the titles from, lol

Here's a FOTD from Saturday day/night. We went to a comedy club in Greenwich for a friends birthday, to be honest it wasn't all that although the last act was pretty funny.

I did a quick smokey eye look with a pinky-brown cream pigment from Illamasqua and an indigo-purple powder shadow from the 17 Vintage Love palette. I finished the look with a hot pink lips - I'm finding myself grabbing this lipstick more and more for a night out these days - totally rocks up my look!

I couldn't actually decide what eyeshadows i wanted to use so i made the bf pick two colours - i was pretty impressed, i think he chose well :)

Eyeliner: Barry M Kohl Eyeliner - Black

Eyebrows: ELF Treat and Tame - Light

Lipstick: 17 Lasting Fix Lipstick - Pink Power and a slick of clear lipgloss

So there we have it, a simple pimple FOTD.
