I love spring! It’s my most favourite season. I love the colours – lemon, mint green, whites! I like that it’s just warm enough to go out without a coat! I love lambing weekend and seeing baby chicks! And Easter Eggs!

And I absolutely adore this jumper from Scarlett Fashion! It's by Sugarhill and it’s the perfect transitional piece to go from these chilly winter days that are lingering to sunny spring ones!

 

I was very lucky enough to receive this jumper from Karen at Scarlett Fashion. A little boutique based in Preston with a extensive website featuring fabulous clothing and accessories from a range of brands including Sugarhill, Yumi and b.young. There's also beautiful Jewellery By Scarlett.

Lets get back to the jumper! ...

The jumper itself is a lovely soft, fine knit and has beautiful flecks of colour throughout the pinky peach and baby blue yarn. I love the cute cream heart on the front too!

I ordered a Medium which I would say is roughly a size 8-10. This is the ideal length to wear with leggings or jeans and I’m so looking forward to wearing this when the weather warms up with coloured skinnies!

I live and die in jumpers and leggings at the moment and this has really brightened up my wardrobe from the usual blacks and greys I tend to turn to! I can see this lasting me throughout Spring/Summer as a go to item when I want to lounge around or throw something over a vest or tee when there's a chill in the air.

Hello, is it me you're looking for? ...

Why good evening girlies :)

I am back after a week of not blogging (i have been reading and commenting though!) Last week was busy and i had planned to catch up with a few cheeky posts over the weekend but the weather was glorious and i had a jam packed weekend of fun :) :)

So last Tuesday i went into London and saw The Blackout and it was amazing!! I love this band and have done for about 5 years <3 Supporting was Hyro Da Hero, i came across this band about a month ago while watching Scuzz with the bf and i adored them and they were even better live! I recently discovered they are playing Download Festival, yay!

Wednesday i went to Bingo with the girls :) unfortunately we didnt win but we still had a great laugh and a catch-up. Beforehand we went to Frankie & Benny's - delish! They do the best starter in the world - mozzarella and tomato salad with garlic doughballs, olives and rocket. Simple but absolutely divine!!

I spent the weekend at the bf's which consisted of: 2x Chinese from our favourite place (yes TWO!! Two nights in a row aswell!!), a wander around town, pub, 99p store bargains, an early Easter Egg hunt, family get-together, buffet lunches, swimming pool, visiting piggies and goats and hot tub!

Unfortunately i didnt get many pictures :( clearly was having too much fun :p haha

Sunday Positive Thought #3

So i missed a couple of posi-posts :( (did anyone actually miss them :/ ??) I might turn it into a weekly/bi-weekly occurrence instead, hmmm....

Anyways the weekend is almost over for another week - who's dreaming about next weekend already!? ha. I haven't really done much this weekend. Caught up with blogging yesterday and had a late pub lunch with the bf and then i spent today lounging around and tidying up. Really need to work on some better jewellery and make-up storage as my collection is over-taking my room!!

Cornflower blue, blooming in the morning sun ... NOTD

So here's the first piece from my London haul that i'm reviewing for my dolls - Cornflower nail polish from Primark.

I have tried a couple of the nail polishes from Primark before (a bright jade/green colour and just a basic clear top coat) and when i saw this colour i knew i had to have it!!

Its a gorgeous blue colour with a slight hint of purple/lavender - it's going to look fab throughout the summer :)

The packaging is nice and neat and also has an outer plastic casing to it. The range is 'Glo Baby Glo!' and the packet reads: A fantastically vibrant nail colour by day and a glowing sensation by night. This amazing quick dry formula not only applies easily and streak-free but also GLOWS under UV light! So when the lights go out, your nails will stand out - Perfect for clubbing. You glo girl!

As the blurb on the casing says this polish is easy to apply and does go on streak-free. I was extremely impressed with its consistency. It glides on thick enough that you only need one coat! I added a clear top coat for added protection and i was literally out the door within 10mins :)

Now i have been able to test out the UV glow so i cant say if that works or not - i am going to a gig in a few weeks and theres normally UV lighting somewhere in the venue so i'll have to remember to apply one of the polishes before i go!

I absolutely adore this colour and nail polish and for only £2 you cant go wrong! I also got a coral colour which i will review once this colour comes off.

Manhattan From The Sky ...

Quick outfit of the day from yesterday that i didnt have time to post. I adore this pink tunic dress!! I've been looking for something like this for a few months and finally found one by chance when i was in town last weekend looking for floral dresses!

I teamed it with some thick black tights, a brown plaited belt, brown pixie boots and a chunky wooden studded bangle - i also wore my favourite new necklace 'Toby Owl' (yes, i've named my owl necklace but who cares). Toby Owl is quite possibly one of my best bargains ... 99p on ebay including postage!

My OoTD pics are pretty poor as its quite cramped in front of my floor-length mirror at the mo as i'm in the process of having a spring-clean. Hopefully they'll get better...

Also thought i'd add a couple of pics of items from my bracelet box - i have a slight obession with bracelets and have a hat box crammed with them (its actually overflowing now) :¬/

Weekend: Whats Hot & Whats Not ...

Evening dolls! How are we all? I've had a lovely weekend :) Spent most of it at the bf's; living out of a weekend bag is hard especially when an impromptu night out springs up and you have to concoct a stunning outfit out of a few items!

I also had a bit of a spending spree in Primark using up the last of my birthday monies. I got some fabulous items ready for spring/summer which i'm sure will feature in my blog over the coming weeks....

Whats Hot!

My new gorgeous Miss Selfridge floral bag

Isn't this divine!? It was one of those moments in the Mall when you're on route to meet someone and you spy an beautiful image out the corner of your eye and stop dead mesmerized by the beauties in the window display! I was a very lucky girl and the bf bought this for me as he still owed me a birthday present :)

Midnight McDonalds

There's fast becoming a tradition between me and my friends where we go for midnight snacks after a night out. Last night we stopped off at McDonalds - normally the ultimate sin but i had been craving MaccyD's for 6 months and it was amazing, totally savoured every mouthful, lol!

Paris necklace

I am obsessed with Paris and necklaces with Eiffel Tower charms. When i spied this little beaut in Primark i immediately dropped it into my basket and for only £2 who could resist!?

Bargains

This faux sheepskin waistcoat was an absolute steal!! On the sale rail at Primark for just ... wait for it! ... £3 !!! Can you believe it!? I'm thinking of teaming it with the new petrol blue maxi dress i just purchased from boohoo.com or black skinny jeans and a peach top.

So at the weekends i normally have lie-ins and/or naps - this weekend i had neither :( I love to nap!

Maybelline One by One Volume Express Mascara

Picked up this mascara as the advert makes the lashes look amazing (yes, gullible! I totally fell for the advertising) Unfortunately the high hopes i had for this mascara soon faded as soon as the brush touched my lashes ... the brush was hard and scratchy and quite frankly hurt my eyes! The mascara itself separated the lashes well but i cant get over the nasty brush :( shame as i love the Maybelline Falsies mascara.
